SPARK has designed a home for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV’s) that can be retrofitted on the roofs of Singapore’s buildings. SPARK’s Drone Home taps into the huge potential for how private and commercial Drone use will transform our lives. Amazon has made rapid progress and launched its drone delivery concept with its fleet of automated drones designed to deliver local packages in just 30 minutes from the time you hit the ‘PAY’ button. Customers will be able to track their packages using an Uber like app from the delivery warehouse to the Drone Home which can operated by the building management provider on the roof of your apartment building or office tower, a futuristic type “post box”. Drone deliveries are set to replace the traditional delivery vehicle helping to reduce traffic levels, Drone Home provides a simple delivery point at home or at work. SPARK thinks that Drones won’t be deployed for take away Pizza customers just yet, but we love the idea and developed our SPARK Drone Home as a suggestion of a new small building typology that can service this new market.
